
Business Partner Spotlight: Carlee Gnos
We are excited to feature Carlee Gnos as one of our new Associate HR Business Partners who helps support the work we do here at Facilities Management. Carlee started working with UC Davis this past December!
Her main duties include supporting Finance, Operations and Administration (FOA) supervisors and managers with HR functions, providing guidance on performance and staffing, and developing strategies to proactively identify and prevent potential HR issues. As the lead member of the HR Generalist team, Carlee collaborates closely with other leaders to ensure policies and processes are followed, while also assisting in process improvement initiatives by recommending changes where needed. Additionally, Carlee acts as a liaison for Employee and Labor Relations (ELR), managing sensitive issues and guiding management through complex ELR matters.
Carlee's favorite aspect of the job is the opportunity to collaborate with her peers, manager, and leaders in FOA. She appreciates being part of such a large and diverse organization that offers countless opportunities for learning and growth. While building a comprehensive understanding of the many teams within FOA can be challenging, Carlee is enjoying the journey and values the importance of fully understanding each department to better support them.
Outside of work, Carlee enjoys running, spending time with her kids, discovering new breweries with her husband, and tackling new home projects. Whether she’s out for a run or crafting something around the house, Carlee makes the most of her personal time by staying active and enjoying life’s little adventures.
